Fractional Exponents

Fractional exponents are a worthy topic to study. They are often used to model population declines or growths and we will (of course) look at those models. They also appear on the SAT (I'm not sure about the ACT but I will look into this for you...) HW is p416: 3 - 23

Last day on Rational Equations

It looks like everyone has got it ! HW is p403: 23-25. Quiz is on Monday and will include some questions that will make up for poor grades on the last quiz - a chance to try again...

SAT Prep, rational equations

After a few days of SAT prep, we are back on rational equations. For HW, do 378: 29-32 and watch carefully for extraneous solutions.

Solving Rational Equations

Today was a good opportunity to apply the skills you have learned to solving equations. We solved some mnually and also with the TI graphically. HW is p378: 15-18
